LUNCHTIME TALES
ONCE UPON A TIME
Once upon a time, I lived in a vast expanse,
Strutting my stuff, seeking my stance.
Once upon a time, I saw a land,
I crawled on my belly, tasting the sand.
Once upon a time, I stretched my limbs,
Seeking safety, within my kins'.
Once upon a time, I raised my head,
Over and wide, my eyes stared.
Once upon a time, words of this being,
From canopy to cave, did I swing.
Once upon a time, such words did I speak,
Climbing this chain, to the highest peak.
Once upon a time, a being such as I,
Tell me if you can, what being am I?
